Israel fracasa en su intención de aniquilarla. Sigamos la lucha contra el genocidio y hasta que Palestina sea libre

(Actualización 16/1 – 10.50hs) En las pocas horas desde que se anunció el principio de acuerdo, Israel siguió bombardeando y asesinó a 80 personas palestinas. Al mismo tiempo, el gobierno de Netanyahu pone en riesgo el acuerdo acusando a Hamas de generar una crisis de último minuto.

Desde Judíes x Palestina acompañamos a miles de gazatíes que salieron a celebrar el principio de acuerdo que incluye un alto al fuego y el intercambio de prisioneros. Los últimos 13 meses de ofensiva genocida israelí en Gaza volvió inhumanas las condiciones de vida para una población que aún en esas condiciones se resiste a ser aniquilada. Además de los más de 45.000 palestinos y palestinas con certificado de defunción, se calcula que la cifra real asciende a 390.00 muertes directas e indirectas como resultado de la acción de Israel.

El gobierno criminal de Netanyahu boicoteó y dilató este acuerdo por meses, hasta que la presión local e internacional se volvió demasiado grande. Lo admitió el propio Ben Gvir, que peleó con uñas y dientes hasta último momento en contra de cualquier acuerdo, y que ahora amenaza con quebrar el frente político del gobierno. Detrás de la retórica “Bring them home” venimos denunciando que se escondía una operación que nada tenía que ver con los rehenes, sino con la destrucción total de la Franja de Gaza con vistas a una recolonización sionista tras la limpieza étnica. En este punto, han fracasado.

Israel aún no ha confirmado su adhesión total al acuerdo, a pesar del anuncio de Qatar, del presidente electo Donald Trump y de todas las cadenas de noticias del mundo. Alertamos que Israel viene de violar el pacto que había suscripto con Hezbollah para retirarse del Líbano, y que seguirá bombardeando y asesinando hasta el 19, día en que entraría en vigencia el acuerdo. La ofensiva sobre Cisjordania es más lenta pero se sostiene desde 1967 y continúa. Es importante la presión y la vigilancia de todo el movimiento mundial de solidaridad con Palestina.

A pesar de la información que aún falta, es destacable que la liberación de 33 rehenes por parte de Hamas tendrá como contrapartida la libertad de casi 2.000 prisioneras y prisioneros palestinos. Si bien en esta primera fase del acuerdo (45 días) Israel no retirará por completo sus tropas de la Franja, como exigía la resistencia palestina, abandonarán casi todo el territorio con excepción de una “zona de seguridad” de 700 metros en el límite del enclave. La posibilidad de regreso de los desplazados hacia el norte de Gaza choca con una realidad trágica: el sionismo redujo a escombros toda la zona, incluyendo todos los hospitales, escuelas, universidades, templos y viviendas.

El movimiento de solidaridad con Palestina que se extiende por todo el mundo no puede conformarse con el cese al fuego. El fin del genocidio, el desmantelamiento de toda la ocupación sionista, el derecho al retorno de todos los palestinos, son objetivos estratégicos por los cuales seguir movilizando.

Fuera las tropas israelíes de toda Gaza y Cisjordania, también de Siria y Líbano.

Israel has failed in its attempt to annihilate it. Let us continue the fight against genocide until Palestine is free.

(Update 1/16 – 10:50 AM) In the few hours since the initial agreement was announced, Israel has continued bombing and has killed 80 Palestinian people. At the same time, Netanyahu’s government is putting the agreement at risk by accusing Hamas of creating a last-minute crisis.

From Jews for Palestine, we stand with the thousands of Gazans who took to the streets to celebrate the initial agreement, which includes a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange. The past 13 months of Israel’s genocidal offensive in Gaza have made life conditions inhumane for a population that, even under these circumstances, resists annihilation. In addition to the more than 45,000 Palestinians officially declared dead, it is estimated that the real death toll, both direct and indirect, reaches 390,000 as a result of Israel’s actions.

Netanyahu’s criminal government boycotted and delayed this agreement for months until local and international pressure became too great. Even Ben Gvir himself admitted it, fighting tooth and nail until the last moment against any agreement and now threatening to break the government’s political front. Behind the rhetoric of “Bring them home,” we have long denounced a hidden agenda that had nothing to do with the hostages but rather with the total destruction of the Gaza Strip, aiming for a Zionist recolonization after ethnic cleansing. In this regard, they have failed.

Israel has yet to confirm its full adherence to the agreement, despite the announcement by Qatar, president-elect Donald Trump, and global news networks. We warn that Israel has previously violated the agreement it signed with Hezbollah to withdraw from Lebanon and that it will continue bombing and killing until the 19th, the day the agreement is supposed to take effect. The offensive in the West Bank is slower but has been ongoing since 1967. The global solidarity movement for Palestine must maintain pressure and vigilance.

Despite the lack of complete information, it is significant that the release of 33 hostages by Hamas will be reciprocated with the release of nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. While in this first phase of the agreement (45 days), Israel will not completely withdraw its troops from the Strip, as demanded by the Palestinian resistance, it will abandon almost the entire territory except for a “security zone” of 700 meters at the enclave’s border. The possibility of displaced people returning to northern Gaza collides with a tragic reality: Zionism has reduced the entire area to rubble, including all hospitals, schools, universities, places of worship, and homes.

The global solidarity movement for Palestine cannot settle for a ceasefire. The end of genocide, the dismantling of the entire Zionist occupation, and the right of return for all Palestinians are strategic objectives that must continue to drive mobilization.

Israeli troops out of all of Gaza and the West Bank, and out of Syria and Lebanon as well.
